Graduate Building Surveyor
We are now accepting applications for our Building Surveying Graduate Programme for our Dublin office.
Savills Building & Project Consultancy is one of Ireland's leading property consultancy teams, providing specialist technical advice across acquisitions, development, ownership, occupation and disposal of property assets. Our clients include investors, developers, landlords and occupiers across a wide range of sectors.
As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will work alongside experienced Chartered Building Surveyors and Project Managers, gaining exposure to a diverse range of commercial property projects while building the technical, professional and commercial skills required to achieve chartership.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and growing team where you will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of surveying and project consultancy instructions, including:
Building Surveying
Supporting technical due diligence surveys and reports
Assisting with condition surveys and building inspections
Helping prepare reinstatement cost assessments
Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
Assisting in diagnosing building defects and identifying solutions
Exposure to conservation and heritage property projects
Project & Contract Management
Supporting Project Management and Contract Administration commissions
Assisting in the preparation of specifications and technical documentation
Monitoring project progress and construction quality
Coordinating with consultants, contractors and project teams
Exposure to refurbishment, fit-out and development projects
Client Advisory
Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients
Developing an understanding of landlord and tenant matters
Learning how to provide strategic advice on commercial property assets
Building strong client relationships through direct project involvement
What qualifications, attributes and characteristics define our Graduates?
Relevant Building Surveying qualification
Eligible to pursue the APC pathway towards MRICS/MSCSI qualification
Strong work ethic, curiosity and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Commercial awareness and an interest in the Irish property market
Client-focused with excellent relationship-building skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Numerate, adaptable and detail-oriented
Energy, enthusiasm and determination to succeed
Full driving licence preferred
Demonstrated interest in the property and construction industry and evolving market trends
