Centre Director- Whitewater Shopping Centre
Whitewater Shopping Centre is owned by a leading fund, Deka-Immobilien Europa, who have a strong track record of success in retail real estate across Europe. The fund has been invested in Ireland over the past twenty years and also owns Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork. Whitewater Shopping Centre remains best in class as Ireland’s largest regional shopping centre, with 30,000 sq m of retail accommodation and is anchored by Frasers, Sports Direct, Marks & Spencer, Next and H&M. In total there are over 80 stores, restaurants and kiosks, with 1,700 car parking spaces available on site.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead the estate into its next exciting stage of development.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of Centre Management to ensure that Whitewater Shopping Centre continues to grow as an exceptional retail location.
Key Responsibilities
As Centre Manager of Whitewater Shopping Centre, lead the Centre Management team to manage and operate the centre to the very highest professional standards, providing excellent customer experience to all stakeholders.
The Centre Manager, although reporting to the Divisional Director of Property Management in Savills, will also be attending regular meetings with the owner and asset managers of the Centre providing updates and consulting on strategic matters.
Duty Management for weekends/bank holidays.
Implement excellent working practices and innovation at Whitewater Shopping Centre, ensuring that the centre remains best in class.
Liaise with the landlord / asset management team and all related stakeholders to help achieve the required goals and targets for Whitewater Shopping Centre.
Be responsible for driving and maximising customer footfall and retail sales opportunities with all tenants.
Retain an active oversight of the residential elements and car parks within the development, liaising with the associated key stakeholders as required to ensure delivery of a high service standard.
Act as an ambassador for Whitewater Shopping Centre with key stakeholders and within the local community.
Ensure that the centre is maintained to an excellent standard and contractors are carrying out their work to an appropriate standard. Develop excellent lines of communication with all centre management staff, the occupiers, contractors, Savills head office personnel and the Landlord
Oversee the Centre Management team and all 3rd party suppliers/ contractors to ensure a joined up approach in achieving overall goals.
Ensure high levels of customer service are always provided by the Centre Management team (and wider supply chain).
Monitor centre performance including footfall and retailer sales performance.
Provide such reports and attend such meetings as required for the purposes of reporting centre progress and updates.
In conjunction with the property management and Centre Management teams, continually explore ways of operating more efficiently / updating working strategy in conjunction with evolving client, market and legislative demands.
Promote the Whitewater Shopping Centre environmental performance whilst continually striving to enhance its ESG credentials.
Have a full understanding and appreciation of the business strategy for the centre and take responsibility for its implementation within the context of the Centre Management team.
Manage and have full responsibility of overseeing the annual service charge budget, manage expenditure throughout the service charge period and assist with the reconciliation at year end.
Working with the centre asset management team along with any appointed external agencies, ensure the marketing strategy is effectively developed and executed to drive footfall and sales including ongoing review of return on investment. Ensure that the centre is dominant in the Irish shopping centre scheme marketplace in terms of industry recognition.

Person Specification
Minimum:
Senior Commercial Management experience
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a medium sized team.

Previous PR and Marketing exposure at a strategic level
Strong operational H&S knowledge (preferably holding a qualification IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
Previous real estate, retail, leisure, property/asset management experience
Desirable:
5+ years’ Centre Manager experience
BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management or working towards it.
Previous experience of managing operations in a retail/leisure scheme in excess of 20,000 sq.m . (Alternatively, Hotel or Airport management)
Good knowledge of corporate responsibility and environmental issues.
Achievement of other professional qualifications/ awards relevant to the role
Good knowledge of security licensing requirements and other security matters
