We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our Landlord & Tenant Department
The Role/ Location
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our Landlord & Tenant Department. This successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clients in rent reviews, lease renewals, lease restructuring and other Landlord & Tenant matters.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the technical aspects of rent reviews and the relevant case law and legislation, as well as a track record of successfully representing clients in rent review / lease renewal negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and lead rent review and lease renewal negotiations across sectors.
Provide strategic advice on a full range of Landlord & Tenant matters including lease surrenders, break clauses and compensation claims.
Prepare detailed valuation reports, expert submissions, and client briefings to a high professional standard.
Undertake market research and analyse comparable evidence to support valuations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Irish property market trends and regulatory requirements.
Complete complex valuation projects and portfolio reviews.
Acts as a trusted property advisor, providing analysis, insight and valuable advice to clients on specific projects and properties in a proactive manner.
Works with senior colleagues to deliver our department objectives in line with the business plan.
Utilises all relevant technology systems, maintains up to date records and maximises reporting functionality.
Ensure compliance with professional standards, PSRA requirements, and internal governance policies.
Takes ownership for own development by undertaking activities to broaden experience and market knowledge, e.g. CPD & SCSI events, Surveyor Peer Network.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
MSCIS or MRICS qualified or working towards qualification
Experience in a Landlord & Tenant (Lease Consultancy) role
Knowledge of the relevant case law and Landlord & Tenant legislation and its practical application to commercial rent reviews and lease renewals.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Commercial awareness with an understanding of market trends, economic drivers, and investment impacts on rent review and lease negotiations.
Strong report-writing and analytical skills, with attention to detail and clarity of advice.
Have a full, valid driver’s license and PSRA license.
Flexibility to travel to client sites, and inspections as required.
