Internal Audit Assistant

We are seeking an internal auditor assistant to join our Property Management Finance team. This role is critical in maintaining compliance and mitigating risk for the department. The successful candidate will combine strong technical audit skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
The role is based at Savills head office, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance, audit, training, systems management and reporting
Execution of daily audit and compliance checks to ensure our control environment and system is operating in accordance with our prescribed controls and processes.
Monthly compliance review, management and preparation of control reports along with conducting internal audit review.
Assist with the management and review of our key annual audit and budget processes.
Support external compliance audits conducted by regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Prepare reports highlighting any issues working closely with the Compliance Manager.
Provide training and support to new hires and existing staff utilising AI training videos, documentation of processes and procedures.
Preparation of reports and KPI’s for presentation at senior management meetings
Assist with queries from staff on our management workflow tool (Salesforce) supporting the compliance manager in preparing new workflow control processes and implementation.
Manage our banking portfolio including account opening/closing, set up on our workflow tool, our cash management, and payment systems.
Support internal accountants’, property managers, and site staff in meeting all commitments as part of our property service level agreements.
Operational efficiency and strategic growth
Support and actively participate in the implementation of automated and digital tools on our financial and operational workflows – improving our process control and efficiencies.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the department.
Other ad-hoc duties as determined by the business.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant with 2 years relevant experience in an internal or external audit role as part of a practise or in industry.
Strong understanding of financial principles, operational processes, and best practices.
Interpersonal and communication skills, (written and verbal) with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure, to own and prioritise tasks and focus on meeting deadlines.
Experience within real estate and/or property management finance is highly desirable but not essential.
Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Experience with large property systems is desirable but not essential e.g. Yardi, MRI, Qube, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Power BI.
